MacDonald High School Graduation Information
Friday, June 5, 2026, 4:15 PM - Condor Stadium
2800 seats will be available in the stadium on a first-come, first-served basis, no pre-reserved seats
Stadium opens at 3:15 PM
- No RSVP or tickets are required.
- Limited parking around campus. **Accessible parking will be available in designated spots in the lot directly in front of the stadium.
- Consider carpooling or allow extra time to walk to the event.
- No pointy, sharp-heeled footwear is allowed on the field.
- No balloons to be carried inside the stadium. Balloon check will be available.
- Absolutely no airhorns or noise-makers of any kind during the ceremony.
- Only bottled water allowed.
- Snacks and bottled water will be available for purchase from the PTSA.
- Bring hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
- Finally, bring your positivity, cheer, and good wishes to our very first graduation ceremony!

Senior Checkout
8:00–9:15 a.m. Wednesday, June 3rd | Theater Lobby
- All seniors turn in books, Chromebooks, and other MHS/SCUSD property, such as athletics jerseys or other borrowed equipment.
- Fines can be paid on this day or beforehand.

Graduation Cap Decoration Guidelines
What's Generally Prohibited:
- Future Plans: Decorate to recognize the college, university, trade school, military branch, or employer you'll be joining.
- School/Club Recognition: You can include your graduation year, school mascot, or logos of clubs/teams you were involved in.
- Cultural Representation: You can include items such as flags, colors, or art that represent your cultural background.
- Sentimental Messages: You can thank parents, teachers, or other important people in your life. What's Generally Prohibited:

- Offensive Content: No decorations that are obscene, profane, vulgar, lewd, or that threaten the safety or welfare of any person, their culture, or affiliation.
- Gang Affiliation: No decorations that denote gang affiliation or advocate violence, illegal activity, or disruptive behavior.
- Substance References: No references to drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or weapons.
- 3D Objects: Decorations must be flat and on top of the cap. Nothing can hang down from the sides, extend beyond the border of the cap, be large 3D creations (must be shorter than 1.5 inches), or in any way block the view of others; except for the tassel.
- Noise-Making Items: No bells, horns, or anything that makes noise.
- Hazardous Items: No spikes, chains, studs, or replica weapons.
- Advertisements: No advertisements or slogans that promote products or services.

All decorated caps must be reviewed and approved prior to graduation. Final approval rests with the school administration, who reserve the right to deny any decoration that does not align with these guidelines or the spirit of the graduation ceremony.
Graduation Rehearsals
9:30-Noon Wednesday, June 3rd & Thursday, June 4th | Stadium
- All participating seniors must attend after completing the check-out process in the theater lobby on June 3rd.
- Wear hats and sunscreen.
- Bring water and snacks.

- All seniors are invited to enjoy their last sunset as the Class of 2026 in the Stadium.

- All purchased items can be picked up at the on-site Grad Store on the day of the ceremony. Proceeds from the store fund future MacDonald HS programs.
